Greubel Forsey has unveiled the Hand Made 2: the ultimate expression of true hand watchmaking. No less than 96% of the components of this creation – whether visible or not – have been created, decorated and assembled by hand with unprecedented rigour. More than 5,000 hours were required to produce this 40.9mm timepiece. All the components, except for five – sapphire crystal, case gaskets, spring bars, barrel spring and most of the jewels – are hand-crafted using traditional tools such as a precision lathe, a jig borer, or a pantograph.
